Hello, Blues Lovers... A couple of program notes- Peter Karp and Sue Foley just released their second collaboration on Blind Pig. Good harmonies and trade-offs make it a fine spring release... Jon Cleary has earned high praise throughout his long career and you'll hear why on this track from his new disc. Janiva Magness does a bang up job on "Dirty Water"...and then there's Eddie C. Campbell messing with your head on a tune that will have you trying to imitate the vocal hook on "Call My Mama"... toss in a classic Stone's track, a sultry "Jellyroll" from Taj Mahal and, for southern blues-rock fans, an affectionately polished version of "Whipping Post" from Butch Trucks and Great Caesar’s Ghost. "...It was really enlightening to get the accurate line from the ending jam on "Nostalgia." Me and several friends studied it at great length trying to decode it. The vocalist has a great voice and purrs it just enough to make it mysteriously imprecise. By the way, is she singing line for line or did you sample her once and put it on a loop? I think it's the former, and it's to her credit that she repeats the phrase verbatim for the duration..."

In addition to Sarah getting some well deserved props on her vocal prowess, we would also like to congratulate her and Bryant on the arrival of their daughter, a healthy 9 lb 8 oz beauty. <3

Also, one of the songs she sang on, "Victim Of Nostalgia" was featured on this playlist from KVMR, Nevada City, CA, this week. :-)
