23Oct10 - Brewer's Alley

Brewer's Alley does this cool thing during the spring and summer (when it's warm outside).  They turn their back parking lot into a cool beer garden/dining area and have bands come entertain the patrons and neighborhood.  This late into the fall Travis, the manager, kind of plays it by ear to see how the weather will be.  We got lucky, it was warm and nice outside, and we got the call to come do the last outside show of the season.  Gary played with Jay Turner - bass, and Hal Squires - drums, that night and several children got in on the act including Hal's grandson, Oryan.  Here are some pictures from the evening's festivities, and the picture that Oryan was inspired to draw about his perception of his "Poppy" playing with Gary & Jay.

Gary Brown is an awesome act to listen to AND watch! It is neat to watch him play the guitar behind his back, reminds me of Jimi Hendrix!
