Delmarva Bike Week 2012

Posted by Trudi Brown on September 20, 2012. 0 Comments

Delmarva Bike Week 2012, was everything we anticipated that it would be and more - I'd even say that it was the best one yet!   We were blessed with great weather, great crowd, great sound provided by Skip and Cindi Mason and the team at Mirage Sound Co., and a great host in Kerry Mendenhall, he and his assistant Ashley really know how to throw a party!

Here's some pictures that Cindi Mason took of our performance (check out her gallery on facebook for pictures of the whole event too http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151101384532600.446251.72595337599&type=1):

A few new user reviews and comments about Revolution Rhapsody

Posted by Trudi Brown on September 18, 2012. 0 Comments

New friend and fellow musician Terry McManus sent the following email:

"Hey Gary.....It was great to meet you and the band and Trudy on Sat. night. Thanks for letting me play your guitar, it's a little (a lot) awkward that way but people seem to dig it. Wow! That's all i can say about your CD. I rarely sit down and listen to a whole cd all at once but i did this one. What good tune, what a great mix, what a great drummer (is one of those guys the guy who was playing Sat nite?) He was realy good too. Your playing is excellent! Very tasteful in all the different genres of blues demonstrated on the album. Thanks for the disc man (i may order another one for my 28 year old and get you to write something on it for her) If you ever want a sideman...

Cool letter I received from Dixiefrog

Posted by Trudi Brown on August 23, 2012. 0 Comments

 HI GARY,

I’VE LISTENED TO ALL THE SONGS. I REALLY LIKE YOUR WORK, IT’S HIGH QUALITY STUFF. SURE, QUITE JIMI ORIENTED, BUT JIMI IS A GOOD MASTER…!

TWO OR THREE YEARS AGO I WOULD HAVE SAY : YES, LET’S TRY TO DO SOMETHING. BUT TODAY, EVERYTHING IS SO TOUGH… NOBODY BUYS CDS NO MORE, MUSIC IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE, PIRACY IS THE RULE AND IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO TRY TO DO ANYTHING WITHOUT CONCERTS.

NOW, WE’RE ONLY TWO AT DIXIEFROG (I WAS OBLIGED TO FIRE THREE PERSONS DURING THE LAST THREE YEARS) AND I’M OBLIGED TO BE MORE THAN PRUDENT BEFORE TO COLLABORATE WITH A NEW ARTIST.

SO, I HAVE ONE QUESTION : WOULD YOU HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH BOOKING AGENTS IN EUROPE OR ANY CONTACTS TO TOUR, HERE ? WITHOUT REGULAR EUROPEAN TOURS NOTHING IS POSSIBLE.
